Virgo - Was That A Penalty Yesterday?

I havent seen it on TV yet, but I was sure Virgo gave a blatent penalty in the first half, bringing down Byfield I think. He bundled him down, and was no way near the ball.

Anyway, fair play to the lad, he seems to have got himself in better physical shape, and played well yesterday, especially the last ditch block in injury time.

Theres probably a thread on this somewhere, but im too lazy to use the search button, Aston Villa

Thought it was a pen too(though think Byfield made the most of it) as did most of my mates, also another dodgy back pass by Painter later in the first half almost put it on a plate for Byfield but i think Elphick and Kuipers just did enough to hold him off.

I think if you get the right angle he took his legs away, luckily the referee did not have that angle of view.

Still some you get some you don't

It looks like he might've actually played the ball to me, but difficult to be really sure..

Who cares we won thats all that matters

Apologies, I was just asking for an opion about something that wasnt related to Aston Villa.

However just to satisfy the needs of an Aston Villa related thread, the game was in Birmingham, the same city as Aston Villa. Also Aston Villa manager Martin O Niell was at the game, scouting for next weeks FA Cup 4th Round Game involving Aston Villa. Walsall is also on the same train line as Witton station, the station used to go to Villa Park to watch Aston Villa play football.

You mean the backpass where Kuipers was still fannying about talking to Byfield about the earlier Virgo challenge. Christ knows what Martin O Neil made of that couple of minutes
