Nein danke. As I've said before, I'm not the world's biggest fan of Livermore.

Assuming El-Abd and McLeod are not fit, I'd have fewer problems with...

How can you come to the conclusion you're 'not a fan of Livermore'? He hasn't even played a game yet, that is ridiculous.

It's better than playing with ten though, isn't it?

Is it? Mayo in midfield? I think I'd take the 10 option.

It shows how dire our midfield cover is that as soon as a couple of players are out noone can agree on who should come in, and almost everyone suggested has more people against them than for them.

It's not dire at all if you leave Adam Virgo at the heart of midfield, alongside Thomson.

Thomson, Virgo, Livermore, El Abd, is a pretty solid foursome to select from... just unfortunate that 2 are injured at the same time.

from the list of possibilities as things stand Virgs is the obvious candidate for me to go upfront , he'll still get the same opportunities he got at Crewe/ Barnet from there I reckon

with a four man midfield consisting of (if Livermore,McCleod etc.. are actually injured , which doesn't sound like the case) Cox , Thomson , Fraser, Robinson

now this might be seen as a little weak but the two central midfielders need games under their belts and lets face it Bristol Rovers is one of the more obvious chances to give them that

Well, a second half of a league cup game - in which he wasn't that bad at all. Friendlies mean almost nothing at all. Virgo didn't play one game in midfield in pre-season (I dont believe)

I don't think he played that badly either, he put in a couple of very good crosses, and as I said before, you can't judge a player based on one game.

Oh yes, I agree with you. But the key thing you've said if "if you leave Adam Virgo at the heart of midfield." If he's in midfield then I don't see it as a huge problem - the problem then becomes who to play with Forster. However, I was working on the basis that Virgo would be upfront (which Micky sort of intimated in his interview after Barnet would be the case). Then, Livermore could be injured, so you're left with Thomson and El Abd (who is also doubtful). Doesn't sound so solid then in my opinion.

So the real problem is the lack of a decent back-up striker to Forster and Murray - that way we would be playing to our strengths all round the pitch rather than shuffling players to provide cover.

Agreed, he was no worse then McLeod was there in the first half. He is certainly by far a better option than Mayo in CM, or Robinson on the left.

He's played for us for 49 minutes in a game we were already 4-0 up in. Oh, and he was out of position.

So what? So, he shouldn't have to try? He shouldn't bring anything to the game?

You decided you didn't like him a few weeks ago (which I suspected at the time was just a way of letting everyone know you'd been to a friendly). However, either you've seen a lot of him at his previous clubs, and have built up a fair and true opinion of his worth. Or, you're talking shit for some unknown reason. There is no other explanation. If I started slagging off a new signing who'd never played for us I suspect you'd be the first one in there to criticise me, so what's this all about?

There might be no other explanation in your universe, but as we've gathered from your behaviour on here, some people's horizons are a tad wider than yours. And the fact you get criticised by some on here is for far more than 'slagging off' (sorry, did I slag him off? Don't think so).

I've already said before why I haven't seen anything within his game to make me feel we don't have better (apologies for the unintended double negative there).

It's all about opinions, isn't it?
