Purchased sky sports add on yesterday £25.00 pm rolling contract,they sent me e-mail stating it will be activated in 7-10 working days surely it should be quicker than that.I don't want to ring them and spend 2 hours in a queue, Anyone else experienced this?

Sorry i cant help. I have rarely come across worst customer service than with Virgin Media. Absolutely risible.

Try the live chat in the support section or failing that, the community.virginmedia.com pages often get a quick response.

Shocking company. I won't go through the details of the nightmare they put us through when they disconnected our internet in error, then took 6 weeks to reconnect, all the while claiming it wasn't their fault. Eventually we went through the Ombudsman who awarded us anout £600 compensation and were scathing about the way we'd been treated.

Never again. Never, ever again.

Website a minefield, but did find how to e-mail complaint.Many thanks much appreciated.
They make themselves VERY difficult to contact. If you want to cancel there is no number you can just call, you have to go through different departments and eventually get put through to the inevitable Indian Call Centre

I think difficult is an understatement, very complicated website.

I know it's not a popular opinion but I've been with VM since they were Cable and Wireless (I think) and NTL, never had a problem with them. Any issues have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Not cheap though. Just done the free upgrade to their 360 service and that all worked well.
