Ddin't they inherit the legends of bad service that were ntl/telewest? If so, the name change was hardly going to turn things around

Maybe I've been lucky, but I always thought the telewest customer services were pretty good. Didn't have any problems with Virgin recently either, other than their insistance that I should have a 'password'. I don't ever remember providing one, but they soon get bored and do as I ask anyway.

I recently switched over to Virgin Media for my broadband and have found them very good.

Their customer service has always been fine as far as I'm concerned. The reliability of their broadband on the other hand....

Virgin Broadband comes joint-second in customer satisfaction poll

Although it is called Virgin Media, Branson doesn't own it - he controls 10 per cent of the shares and rights over the Virgin name.

Carlyle, the US private equity giant, is considering axeing the Virgin brand name if it takes over UK cable group Virgin Media. Such a move would sever the media company's connection with Richard Branson, and pave the way for a rapprochement with Rupert Murdoch's BSkyB.

..City sources say some of Carlyle's most senior executives are arguing that cable would be better off without Branson as it could then swiftly settle its differences with BSkyB.

Isn't that the same Carlyle group which links the Bush and Bin Laden families ?

Worst customer service ever. It took four months to resolve a dispute that very nearly went to court. Idiots!!!

PlusNet are the Daddy when it comes to customer service. Only ever had one complaint with them in 7 years service. That was purely down to a minor mis-understanding on both parts. Different agent replied to my "ticket" and it made perfect sense.

I spents nearly FOUR hours on the phone to those twats on Saturday because they had over-billed me by £120 for one fecking month. Later on, Saturday evening-tv channels and V+ not functioning. THREE more hours spent talking to their fuckwits in Bangalore who need every item repeated a minimum of three times before they ask you the same question immediately after saying they understand.

They suck and I'd ditch them if I had an alternative.

But apart from that, fine?
