That's a good point. Has anybody ever been chastised for bringing their own food n drink and consuming it on the grassy knoll in full view of the Amex?

The grassy knoll near the train station (opposite the shop) is University of Brighton property so you'd only be chastised by their security. The grassy bank outside the East stand is fine to bring your own as seen plenty of folks drinking cans there.

Brighton factually.....

Nope, eaten plenty a melton mowbray pork pie, and downed a few bottles of thunderbird on that there grassy knoll.

For some reason, I have been refused entry to the ground though, strange that.

If people are drinking cans there, they've snuck them past the alcohol line from the station direction. I don't think you are allowed to drink there in all honesty.

The alcohol line is stop alcohol being taken OUT of the Amex! The licence isn’t for off sales

I would have liked to have attended, but my bf's team is playing their 1st Championship game on the same day so that takes priority!

Frankly I'll be mildly surprised if it's open before the end of the season. This was last Saturday...
Seems like they haven’t taken down the signage from the palace game

Never going to go to an Albion pre-season match at the Amex again. Full of tourists that can't control a plastic pint of beer. Seriously, it sloshes everywhere. f*** 'em, let them have their day in the sun - til the next home cup game comes around
Did you follow through your season ticket binning threat of a couple of seasons ago?

Nah, was crippled by gout off and on for most of that season and was feeling fed up with the transport logistics, which were excruciating to me. Try walking a mile in a man's shoes when it feels like he's had his foot smashed with a hammer ☹️

*edit* having said that, if the club had been crazy enough to re-hire Plodder, my ST would have been going permanently on the ticket exchange until he ****ed off again 😄
