I see Palarse's "prestige" friendly at Smellhurst against Inter has now been called off. The decision must have been very hard to make for the Italian Serie A club after the offer of a friendly versus Real Madrid in St Louis MO came up for August 10th.
Oh FFS have a day off! They are playing Spurs, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal throughout the season, while we've got Wigan and Reading. Do they really give a shit about who is playing in their friendlies? You just sound like a complete chump with your constant sniping.

Villareal doesn't seem very exciting to me. They just got promoted to Serie A after a handful or seasons in the sun. It's much like playing someone like Middlesbrough after they got promoted.

Would MUCH rather have played Roma.

Nicely put. Far too many mentions of "friends" up the road on this board.

FFS stop going on about Roma!

Now Palace losing their prestige friendly is funny. What a bunch of tossers.

Looking forward to the friendlies, always enjoy seeing new teams. Shame they sold Giuseppe Rossi.

Less interested in the Albion, more interested in childish jibes at Palace.... ALL the time. Pathetic.

I might have a look at Villareal, as long as this one and a half jib booking theft in the shop is only a vicious rumour ???

The ticket itself is as cheap as chips. If the booking fee is that much of a drama, just tell yourself the ticket is £13.50 and get on with it.

Surprised I haven't been pulled up for my appalling typo in the thread title.

*googles Villareal*

Holy crap there are two Rs in Villarreal. I had genuinely never noticed that. I've always written it, and indeed my brain has read it, as Villareal.

Mind. Blown.

I'm pleased with that. Quite a doubleheader for a reasonable price.
Currently trying to work out how to get back to Madrid from Segovia after the game against Gijon.
