God I hate you.

Yes he was a bit of a dick when he was younger, but we all are when we are young. Can't believe you let silly things get ahead of you.

I don't get it. Why would you want a player, against whose name will appear the letters 'GB' on the scoreboard, and who has described himself as very proud to play for Britain in the Davis Cup, to lose? Are you one of these self-hating Brits I hear so much about from the rightwingers on this board?

Strange.

I used to feel the same way about Henman, couldn't wait to see that wet lettuce get knocked out of Wimbledon.

Quite like Murray though.

Oh well.

Have to agree with that. This guy is the real deal and he's ours. Not supporting him just 'cos he comes from the Northern Territories doesn't make much sense to me.

What about not supporting him because he has less personality than a soggy shoelace?...

You are basing that on a few interviews after matches? Not everyone is media savvy, certainly not at a relatively young age. Often, an TV persona is a lot different to someone in their more natural surroundings. He seems to be an intelligent chap and is liked and respected by many players on the tour.

If one were to support a person/team based on personality, football would not be such a popular sport in England.

Obviously, it is up to you (which goes without saying, although I just said it), but the desire to see him lose is a bit odd in my opinion. There is not supporting and supporting anyone that plays against him, which are entirely different things.

I may be wrong, but I suspect you made you mind up about him a couple of years ago when he was under 20. Give the boy a chance, in the last couple of years he has been absolutely professional and focussed about one thing - winning - and he is getting there. But if you don't like him it's up to you.

I pesrsonally don't find him particularly boring - don't get me wrong, I don't think he enjoys being in front of the cameras, but it's part of his job.

It's the usual thing for me. When he's rubbish, he's Scottish, when he's great, and there's no English alternative, he's British.

What this country needs in tennis terms is another TRUE BRIT with a a personality, someone like Greg Rusedski.

Completely agree. As a tennis fan, I naturally enjoy watching him play, as he's currently one of the finest tennis players on this planet. The fact that he's representing Great Britain just makes it all the better, as finally we have someone capable of winning multiple Grand Slams, after all these years. Those who choose not to support him, or even more bizarrely, support anyone who plays against him.. due to either him being a Scot or having little on court personality.. well I find it bemusing to be honest.

Jankovic does not look happy at all. Taking her blood pressure and looks to be struggling big time. I imagine it is very hot out there. Hopefully she is OK.
That's a shame, she's been one of my favourites ever since she partnered the good Murray with the personality to the doubles title.

Cracking legs, to boot (not that way Easy) and I mean Jankovic, not Murray.

Incidentally, I say Jamie Murray on the train from Chiswick the other day. Nice to see he is not too cool for school and happy to get public transport.
