If you e.g. fly tip, get caught and sent to jail, I don’t care if your upbringing is wow is me. It’s wrong. You know it’s wrong. And you should be punished. Severely. Not simply let off, or fined, don’t pay and then repeat offence comfortable in knowledge even if caught you be severely punished. That’s not sneering, nor classist. I’d expect same to happen to me if I did that. Far too many people are selfish, take way too much out of society and contribute nothing (positive).

The guy who head-butted Billy Sharp was an electrical engineer on £55k. So not skint and educated to an extent.

No poverty excuses. Just another dickhead who thought the high street / pub / sports event was an opportunity to cowardly attack someone.

In my view it's not as binary as you think. In many cases you can't go to a recycling centre and dispose of waste without an address. You also can't get some items dealt with at these recycling centres. Additionally many aren't open 7 days a week anyway.
Some people are selfish for sure but the restrictions we put in place on people (particularly those on the margins of society) have a role to play in this too. Also dealing with commercial business waste is chargeable so it incentives them NOT to deal with waste effectively.

Give people an opportunity to dispose of stuff with minimal fuss, accessibility and cost and it's less of a problem. If they still do it with all of this available, that's a different matter. If the choice is £45 to dispose of waste or feeding your family, it's a no-brainer

:wozza::shit: Can’t go to a recycling centre…what on earth to are you on about?!! These criminals travel miles from eg outer London to dump waste in proximity of m25 on country lanes and literally block them with heaps of garbage. And the consequences can be deadly. Ask ambulance drivers for example.

Exactly. Should spent a bit less on the real thing. Sent to HMP Chav to be taught a lesson. Good riddance. Total scumbag and a coward at that.

Sorry, but exactly why shouldn't Viera have been on the pitch seconds after the final whistle? It's generally what managers do to either shake hands with opposing players, congratulate or console their own players, or, in this case, walk towards the away dressing room.

Fans on the other hand shouldn't be on the pitch. The only reason that the authorities have turned a blind eye to mass invasions is that they're generally celebratory and good natured with fans showing a degree of respect to the opposition players who probably just want to get off into the dressing room. The actions of dickheads from the last couple of days are going to spoil that for everyone.
Okay, but Viera must have sensed a pitch invasion, it was his choice to hang around with the adrenalin-fueled Evertonians and it was his choice to assault a fan, even if there was some provocation.
Lost his head and showed his inability to control himself, if he had been beered up, I might have excused him.

Viera needs a ban, if the fa don't choose not to ban him what possible reason could they give???

True colours have certainly been shown here. But not by Viera.

True colours?

Explain?

Disliking an aggressive cheating footballer and palace manager that may or may not have VD?

Anyone backing him probably backs the forest nut job too.

Do you condone what the forest fan did?

A dickhead.

“Tough” on the night for blindsiding an opposition player.

Banned from Forest games for the rest of his life, currently staring at four walls from his bunk.

It's also tricky in terms of the law as well. Under the law, Vieira should be accused of assault (even though many of us support what he did), but I'm not entirely sure the Everton fan, annoying as he was, actually committed a crime. Maybe there's a gap in the law around phone usage in a mocking, intrusive manner? Or perhaps that is covered by some other law?
Depends what he said. If he called him a f******* black n****r c**t or similar he has, I believe, committed a race hate crime. So the way the law works, if anybody physically takes exception to that, the racist becomes a victim of assault.
Always knew the law is an ass.

P.S. I've no idea if this was the case or not - for all I know Viera could just be a violent thug who lays into people for no reason. Just wandering how far you can go and expect the law to protect you if someone justifiably objects to your criminal behaviour.

How would you suggest Vieira gets from the touch line to the away dressing room in the opposite corner of the ground without coming into contact with the pitch invaders? Fly?

PV could easily make a case for feeling threatened by that bellend. And he was acting in self defence. Easily. Why haven’t Everton banned the fan in question yet? He shouldn’t have been on the pitch and his behaviour was appalling. Lucky he’s an Everton fan and not a BHA. Barber, rightly, would issued a banning order immediately. It was unacceptable.

I expect you to be hearing from Patrick Vieira’s solicitors fairly soon.

I heard he was bent double staring at the shower tray, biting hard on a towel

You can make that diagnosis from the comfort of your sofa ?

What I can see from my sofa is a 45 year old man, that is assaulting a young gobby kid. The 45 year old is also seen as a role model by some.
Did the 45 year old send the right impression out to all those Croydon kids watching?

Can we book him Danno?

Like I said, he should have seen what was going to happen he knew he would have to walk through them, unless he walked towards the tunnel pre final whistle.
He clearly could not contain himselff in attacking the guy.
Lose canon.

For what, for seeing what every other person has seen?

Viera is only human after all, don't put the blame on him. In the face of that provocation after seeing my team throw away a 2 goal lead I'd be lashing out too.

Aggressive? Cheating? May have VD?
How about libel? Slander? Defamation or whatever the appropriate charge would be for the media concerned.

I haven’t actually seen or know a lot about what actually happened, so can’t comment on that, but what it has to do with “what everybody else has seen” that he might or might not have VD I fail to understand. Cheating does not equate to violence, and aggressive does not necessarily mean you are going to do people harm anyway.

But what if after his attack on the everton lad, a few other Everton guys had a pop at him? Then the palace ultras would then be piling in on the pitch and who knows of would could other developed?

Viera created that spark, that could have set a tinderbox up into flames.
Fortunately no other lads joined in, but that was by luck and not judgement.

One thing for certain is Viera was not defending, he went for attack mode.

Unacceptable from anybody in his position IMO.

Ban him from the next 3 fixtures minimum and fine him big.
Make him apologies in a press conference.

Has he apologised at all yet?

Everton FC fukked up royally there. A pitch invasion was a dead certainty. Vieira should have been protected. They deserve plenty of incoming flack.

The relevant Everton fans were nob heads. No question.

Vieira lost the moral high ground. He should not have lashed out.

FCFL was a nob head too.

No winners.

Self defence doesn't cut it for me. The victim is walking away and Vieira turns to attack him. Had he felt threatened he would have walked (or run) in the direction he was travelling.
A half decent prosecutor would rip the "self defence" argument to shreds.

Viera lost his head and attacked the gobby little shite who was walking away. This then triggered another Everton fan to push Viera in the chest. Fortunately, two or three other Everton fans got in the way and escorted Viera off the pitch. They deserve credit for that. Viera let himself down badly and it could have escalated into a very nasty incident. The gobby little shite should get a lifetime ban.
