Very interesting ... but the preamble to the video was obviously written by someone with absolutely no knowledge of the subject ... "The Brighton Belle was a luxury Pullman service, which was often seen on the south coast" ... how about "which operated daily between London and Brighton"???

I don't want to appear a nerd, but, since it is an electric train that used the Third Rail system to draw power, it will, presumably, be limited to the Southern Electric network. Ok, so admit I am a nerd before the torrent of abuse descends.

They talk about it being used on the 3rd rail network and mention along the coast and London to Bournemouth but don't actually mention it running from London to Brighton

It is being fitted to be loco hauled as well so nationwide railtours would be possible.

They are following the Southern Rail mantra though, according to this article http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/9494781.Brighton_Belle_is_right_on_track/ it was due to be finished in 2013. :)

It is an unbreakable rule among those making films and TV programmes that great attention must be paid to authenticity and accuracy at all times, but this rule must never be applied to trains or railways. That's how it always has been, and probably always will be.
