I admit that this is not first hand, and I should add that I don't make it a habit to post idle speculation
Have heard that it is known at the Amex by more than just the management that Vicente's issue is not about being unfit.
It is about not wanting to play for the club
I truly hope that this is not true.....he is the most gifted player I have ever seen play in the 40+ years I have watched the Albion
However following all of the wrangling during the summer, might explain much
If true it begs the question, why haven't we been told the complete story?

Vicente's problem's are the same as that which led him to be available for Brigthon in the first place.

Here, there and everywhere
We are never going to hear the full story.

If I was Vicente I would make sure I got a run out in a couple of games in December/January, so as to increase my appeal to Spanish clubs.

The club could really piss him off by not letting him play this winter.

The minute the extra year clause was invoked against his will he was lost to us. We need to move on as BHA will still be here long after he has toodled off

On his wages and with our need for options on strikers we would be mad not to let him move on if someone comes in for him

My take has always been we will never see him play again for us.

I have seen him at the club training in the gravity box thing they have whilst I was at a kids party, so I'm taking this with a pinch of salt

It was widely reported that during his time at Valencia, Vicente was in dispute with the club over his fitness. He reckoned he was injured and couldn't play, the club's staff said they could find nothing wrong with him. I suspect this is exactly what we're dealing with now sadly.

I've heard that his 'entourage' told the club he was injured last year and that when our doctor checked him, there was nothing he could find wrong with him. He was then given his special training regime.

This. Yes Vicente is great when he plays but I'm bored of talking about him now. He clearly doesn't give a shit about us so I don't give a shit about him anymore! Get rid and get someone committed in! Big wages going to waste as well!

Agree with this, I would rather have people that are committed/want to play for us rather than just strop on the sidelines.

Precisely. If he wanted to leave, we'd have reached a mutual agreement I'm sure and let him go. It just seems that he has an injury which, in his mind, is perhaps worse than the physios believe. A similar thing happened to Steve Penney. It doesn't mean he's taking the mick.
