Gus was pretty noncommittal with his answer, but I would say on the bench at very best.

According to the argus breaking news, yes he's available.

Buckley is however being rested but will be back for Barnsley.

BREAKING NEWS - Vicente boost for Albion

2112413

Albion have Vicente available for the first home game of the season against Cardiff at The Amex tomorrow night.

Boss Gus Poyet has confirmed the Spaniard is fit for selection after he missed Saturday's opening Championship defeat at Hull with an inflamed thigh tendon.

Will Buckley is also close to a return from hamstring but the winger will be saved for Saturday's visit of Barnsley.

Poyet said: "Will looked very good but I don't think we will risk him. Another three or four days will be perfection."

Poyet has called for a repeat performance following the unfortunate defeat at Hull to get Albion up and running against Cardiff.

“If we maintain this level of performance I think we are going to win many, many games,” he said. “The idea now is to maintain that, the consistency that we didn’t have last year.”

Hard to know who to drop after Saturday. Dicker would seem the most likely but he had one of his best games for us.

Well if you go by the drop the poorest performing it would have to be Barnes, but he would be very hard done by to be dropped after one poor game after his performances last season

That's the last time I vote Honey Badger.

Hey come on I was only joking.

Although I am thinking about boycotting next year and not voting at all, in protest at the smear campaign and clear vote rigging that goes on to keep the Honey Badger from his rightful crown.

It was a largely different article talking about abductor ligaments, and how impossible it is to tell, and how the club were unsure when I first read it, perhaps half an hour ago. Now it's that^.

Each and every year I decide not to get drawn in...and then it starts.

As there are no clear quotes there from Gus about it, I reckon we could still see him on the bench, not being risked from the off.

if he's fit, he will start.

And what if he's 80% fit? I'm just saying it's a bit ambiguous, as Gus isn't actually quoted.

They might've asked: Will Vicente play a part tomorrow?
Gus: Yes.

agreed, but I am sure that he will only be in the squad if he is 100%, Gus wont risk him at this early stage if he is not 100% especially now CMS and KLL are fit.

I really REALLY hope he starts, I think I'm just preparing myself for IF he was on the bench.
