I'm quite into watches and I've literally never heard of GC. Seems very much a 'fashion' piece.

What do you mean when you say it's not going on eBay? Did you put it up for a fixed price - if so what? If you're not getting any nibbles, just stick it up as an auction starting at 99p and see where it goes.

If you got anywhere near £200 back, I think you'll have done well.

Thanks Bozza,

Yeah I had never heard of them either and a number of places dont sell them - jewellers I have contacted, I put it on Ebay at £400 but I was planning on doing the same as suggested , just thought I would check first that there is not a more specialist watch shop somewhere I dont know off that might give me a bit more

As it's a fashion watch and not from a brand with any horological pedigree, I would be surprised if you'd find a specialist watch shop or dealer that has any interest at all if I'm honest, sorry to say.

Take it down the Lanes - see if you can offload it down there - trouble is you don't really get a great deal I would imagine for something so modern and different. Plenty of jewellers to try down there.

It is a fashion brand Darren - its basically the watch brand of Guess? clothing. The watches are made by Timex - so it does have some pedigree, in terms of the manufacture - just not the name on it. Decent enough watch.

There are a few specialist sites for selling new and second hand watches. Google is your freind.

I won a watch worth £575 in a competition over Xmas from Harrods, currently it is sitting in my house and am looking for a decent place to sell it - tried Ebay a few times but not going on there

Wondered if you happened to know anyone - jewellers or something similar- in South East that were likely to give me a decent price for it

The watch in question is here

http://www.harrods.com/gc-watch-competition?cid=emailNL_NSAccessories_171211_GenList&sp_rid=NTk1NjYwNTE0MAS2&sp_mid=2455823

Is it GUESS? what sort of price would you accept?

Thanks for all the replies,

Yes it is Guess Collection, the value is because it has 32 diamonds in the watch

Will have a look on google see if I can find specialist sellers

Thanks again

I have several quality timepieces and believe me there is a difference between a timepiece and a fashionable watch. It would be worth you finding out who makes the imprtant bit inside as it may help you to fetch a better price. I suspect the insides are made by someone like sekonda or tag and then branded with the fashion label. i would not however expect it to be tat considering where it came from.

As I've explained above, Gc is made by Timex, for Guess? clothing.

It is a quality Swiss-made Watch, just not a traditional brand.
