As an aside (and nothing to do with the thread), I used to work at The RAF College Cranwell, and during the Officers passing out parade there was always a fly-past. The pilots apprently had an unofficial game of chicken as to who could get closest to the college tower without hitting it. The nearest was a Vulcan who actually had to tip his wings at the last minute to miss it
