I'd be sweating too if this place didn't have air conditioning. It was a miracle that I remembered my swimming kit this morning...I'll appreciate it in an hour's time.

Following on from yesterday, rather than go down the coast, only to find it's misty. I thought why not use the "NSC weather service"!

Guys, what's the weather like in Brighton today? same as yesterday?

Cheers:thumbsup: :drink:

At the moment its glorious sunshine but it was the same this time yesterday.

It was so misty by the seafront yesterday you could hardly see Brighton pier from the West pier.

Warmer than yesterday, not much of a breeze either so an all round hotter day by the looks of things.

In my computer
It was sunny with a slight ocean breeze when I left Shoreham this morning....hung the washing out and I'm sure my knickers will be baked to a crisp by the time I get home...

The train was f-ing humid and hot especially after the Croydon lot got on ;)

Too far from the sun
For those of you exiled away from the coast, a friend of mine runs a very good weather site with readings taken every 15 minutes from his house on Shoreham Beach. Its at www.shorehamweather.com (sorry I don't do links, avatars, signatures or any other flashy stuff) - blimey, it did it by itself!

Crabtree - this is always a good guide as to what my journey time home is going to be in the evening (I cycle from Brighton to Worthing, but only on an occasional/good weather basis). 15mph from the E = 50 minutes, 15MPH from SW = 1hour 10 mins. BTW, where's the glass you referred to? I don't fancy picking that up on the way home tonight

Glass was just pass King Alfred (Brighton side). I've done Brighton (work near the Thistle Hotel) to my house (Near tesco's in Shoreham) in 22mins. Average around 27mins, and yes if theres a wind it sometimes takes 40mins+.
I aim to beat my record sometime in September with the wind behind me and cooler conditions....wanna get it under 20mins :D

This hot weather sucks for riding fast, mainly cos the stupid pedestrian bastards are all walking on the cycle lane so you have to weave in and out and shout abuse at them!

I gave up with the abuse some time ago. I just take it easy between the Palace Pier and the Grand and if anyone steps in front of me they get a tyre up their leg. Why are they drawn to the bike lane even when the prom is empty?
