...top gig, very good stuff, this band have a lot of potential and bags of energy.

The second half was electric, the guest lead vocal performance by Phil Jupitus was a nice surprise. I liked the new stuff, so the 2nd album will be bought, I think.

And I was also pleased to see that they nailed their West Sussex credentials to the mast by asking whether any one was in from Worthing...

Agreed, great night and very surreal to see Phil appear from nowhere!
Over the counterculture and weekend revolution were brilliant and seaside was good to finish with.

I thought the two support act were pretty shite though.

Yeah it was a fantastic night, I wasn't expecting them to be so good live, they had so much energy. Best tracks were Seaside and Over the counter culture, new stuff quite good too.

Didn't really rate The Explosion but The Cribs were ok.

Excellent gig. Had heard that they were good live. Good improvisation to cover for the lack of a brass band. Nice suprise appearance by Phil Jupitus. Bit disappointed that they didnt do Robots and Monkeys as thats one of my favourite tracks off the album but otherwise great performance. Thought the Cribs were pretty good too although the singers voice was a bit dodgy.

Yeah, I vaguely remember Phil Jupitus coming on stage with them at Glastonbury.

???

to be fair, he is like a PROPER fan more than a pr thing.

i remember the first time he came to see them live in southend when i was touring with them... bought like 80 squids worth of tee shirts for him and his KIDDIES. :)

The Ordinary Boys are ALWAYS f***ing ace live.

Jupitus did a job on 'Little Bitch' but would rather they had wheeled out Terry Hall from the specials. I am still pissed off about going to the gig the night before he appeared with them on their Camden date last year.

The new material is ace and Boys will be boys is probably the pick of the bunch.

Best live song? Little Bubble. Probably their best song in my opinion.
