I believe any touch of the arm/hand that leads to the goal is deemed handball in the new rules but everything else was unforgivable.
Where is the advantage to the attacking team. Mac didn't leave his arm dangling, he pulled it in tight to his body. l don't get it.

For the handballs from the limited clips I’ve seen, I get as it’s keeping with the rules. But the penalty is unforgivable
I think you're right but might have been different for a ' big club '. However, as you say nailed on penalty for foul on Mitoma. Would love to see Gallagher defend that on Sky Ref Watch

Højbjerg has to be up there with one of the dirtiest players, he got his yellow in the 86 minute he could have had multiply cards again today. The ref was so far away from controlling this match.

Even before today, I would imagine most football fans would welcome a hiatus of VAR until a full review of the system is conducted. Shite, not fit for purpose and run by a bunch of blind monkeys.

Apart from anything else, fans spend good well earned money on watching games, and are being robbed by inept officials.
Var was brought in supposedly to iron out injustice and deter favouritism from officials as is is (laughably) scientific. However all it's done is given even more favour to the big 6. If we weren't so fantastic right now, I would be considering giving up following football entirely, and that's after 50 plus years and getting on for a thousand games. I have never felt so clear that there is out and out favouritism and corruption at work, it is very disheartening.

I wouldn't have been unhappy to have seen a Ray Wilkins incident today on the brittle Kane. Where were our boys?

Copied from the match thread:

Refs and var need to be held accountable and put into the spotlight.

After every game the ref & var teams need to be interviewed and questioned on the biggest calls, and to give their reasoning.

Too easy for them to play their own game with little to no accountability.

Are you confusing me with the bloke who writes the rules? It was handball with the state of the game as it is now.

I agree. £150 to go to Wembley plus coach fares, plus something to eat as it’s a ridiculous 4.30pm kick off.
You can almost guarantee 98% Man Utd will win, the way things are going, because it suits the FA’s agenda to have the two worldwide famous Manchester Clubs to face each other in the final.

I am deliberately exaggerating but it’s how emotional I feel right now.

I've been a long time advocate of VAR but I've had enough of it now. Either implement it properly and fairly or don't bother at all. We've been robbed of at least a point here and 2 at Palace despite VAR being present to supposedly ensure fair decisions are made. But they're not, the people in charge are just too f***ing clueless.

Get rid of it. And whilst you're at it, the people running it should be banned from league football too. It's hard to believe they are so incompetent even though they're supposed to making decisions after the event and with benefit of multiple replays. Unforgivable.
