Will be announced any day now - maybe today IMHO. Probably just the logistics of working out the social media reveal content and getting an hour with the player for photos etc. No insider information on this one, but Romano is always spot on in his factual tweets e.g such and such player “has signed”.

Where he fucks up is being used as agents mouthpiece to drive a transfer, rather than reporting exclusives.
Agreed. Wonder if we’re also waiting for a work permit perhaps 🤷‍♂️

The Albion media department have clearly made a call to leave it until the Fri/Sat/Sun Premier League fixtures are out of the way and then release the news and photographs to the transfer story starved global audience.

Leaving supporters of other clubs up and down the country to say to each other, "F*ck it, Brighton have signed another South American wonder kid for peanuts, why can't our club do that instead of buying (insert name of shit player)?".

Fair enough you’re not a fan to say the least ! . I’d urge those sceptical to have a listen to this - (Lineker and co interviewing him at end of last window) - before arguing that Romano is not trustworthy and “guesses” .

It's not the veracity of his info that is in question, it's his sh*t stirring when closely involved with interested parties in transfers be it a player or a club. There is a difference between reporting what a source has told him and being the front for a campaign to unsettle a players relationship with a parent club. The Caceido and to a lesser extent the Cucurella transfers will always leave a bad taste in the mouth for me.

Just a well connected grifter chasing likes for cash. Not for me Brian

But if we as fans didn’t create this insatiable thirst for transfer gossip and info he wouldn’t exist.

And those players would have gone anyway regardless of his involvement. RDZ told us so with games still to go last season

IF being the key word there. Until RDZ see's him in training, we (or they) don't really know. Based on past experience, (Enciso, Buononote, Mac A, Caicedo) these young SAs aren't up to starting until they've been around for a while. I'd think he'll be on the fringes until the summer and RDZ will bring him on for a few cameos to see what he needs and give Barco a bit of experience and then decide what to do in the summer.
I agree

This is a great listen. I heard it a few months back and it was a good insight into his world

It's that Romano's sources are often overly-invested on transfers happening isn't it? We know he's the most connected transfer reporter in the game and his information is normally correct but he gets the majority of his stuff directly from agents, who will feed him things that help themselves. As far as I have heard, Ornstein corroborates things with club sources before publishing, and it's why he's the gold standard.

This is the best example of it.

But Romano's tweet appears to have been 19 minutes before Ornstein's

Unless that's your point?
