Up your alley
I'm going on a short trip soon to Czech Republic.

When I arrive, I want to use my mobile phone to call my friend there on his land line.

Do I need to prefix his no. with the Czech country code?

If he needs to call my mobile when there, does he need UK prefix?

Sorry if off topic, T-mobile website just talks about enabling and charges.

In a word, yes. Your phone is still effectively a UK phone. If you try to ring anyone in the UK on it, the network will automatically direct you back to the UK so you don't need to add an international code. However, for ringing someone in the Czech Republic it will also route your call through the UK network, so you need to add the international code. This will mean that a call to a Czech phone will cost you a bomb, as you will probably be charged for making a phone call abroad AND for ringing an overseas number.
