Update on the Worthing war memorial thread

I don't think anyone else has picked this up yet.
But police have arrested a 22 year old man, in connection with the defacing of the Worthing war memorial.


I do hope the press stay with this through to conviction, if guilty. So we don't get suddenly suprised by a, 20 hours of community service, type sentence.

Esp with Swastika's the day before Rememberance, when your 22 & you would have thought, old enough to know better.

I felt sure this would end up in the, arseing around by young teens category. (not that, that is any excuse)

Any idea who it is? One of our less intelligent followers used this story as an excuse to launch into a rant about 'ethnics' (his words not mine). I would love to shove that little one back in his face.

Incidentally, I agree whoever did it is a bit of a shit head.

A couple of the names of the war dead, were removed when the swastikas were taken off.

I hope the judge is a WWII Veteran

If they do make the little **** do community service, he should be made to do it in an old people's home full of war veterans.

Maybe hearing some of their stories first-hand would teach the little shit some respect for those men and women who gave up their lives so that we could have what we have today.
