Count me in. Can't wait for the roar as the tapes go up for the Supreme, and if Amaretto Rose wins (backed at 12-1) I should be ahead at the end of the week whatever happens...

I'll play please. I know absolutely naff all about horse racing, which could prove fun. Won £220 from Amberleigh House winning the National 2 years ago - Only bet on it because my step-daughter is called Amber, and my best mate is called Leigh !!!

OK - and to show the full command of my knowledge and tipping skills, I'll make all of my selections now.

I'll have the second favourite in every race - based on the official Starting Prices.

If there are joint favourites then I'll have the 2nd alphabetically.

If there is a single favourite and joint 2nd favourites then the 1st of the joint 2nd favourites alphabetically.

I think that covers it!

I will be well and truly 'up for it'.

(Anyone else heading up for any live racing? Nail-z, Arthur and myself shall be bashing the on-course bookies on Gold Cup day)

I will be there on the Wednesday and Friday. I love going the Tuesday but I will be on a flight so I won't even get to watch it. There's organisation for you.

Anyhow my bet of the meeting is to lump on LODGE LANE in the bumper. He has won both starts on heavy and the trainer rates him. 34-1 on betfair, but with this rain he will go off at shorter than 16-1.

You have been told.

Can anyone remember who was the only participant last year to give you WAR OF ATTRITION to win the Gold Cup?

I am looking for another similar result this year.

Count me in

Interesting one for sure - ties in fairly closely with Den Of Iniquity via Edgbriar, but is three times the price. Also positive that a horse he beat by 50 lengths last time won a hurdle at the first time of asking. Smart trainer, too. Big each-way chance if it stays wet.
