piss poor sending off by all accounts ....
refs just levelled it up by sending off woodman for wycombe...

When was his loan due to expire? Must have been now anyway..... so the 3 match ban is unlikely to affect us.
He can go back to Arsenal while we get another right back to fill in while Whing is absent.

I expect it will be rescinded anyway, as will Woodman's.

And yet another totally useless ,sub standard referee will get away with a dreadful perfomance because he is not allowed to be criticized .... why is that?
Players, managers, et al, can be , so why not refs. What divine right do they think they have to continually ruin matches that us lot pay an awful lot of hard earned money to go and watch. They SHOULD be totally accountable for their actions. If we performed in our jobs, like they do in theirs,......we would be down at the job centre !

Just got back, really didn't think it was a sending off, seemed like the ref reacted more to their players as he was quite a distance away. Will await the replay eagerly..

From what i could see, looked as if hoyte gave him a dig in the back using his knee as the decision of a fk to them was given. Looked harsh but then again if he lashed out i suppose the ref had no choice.
The worse decision for me was their first goal (the pen?), firstly should have had a free kick for a push in our defenders back, then secondly their was NO contact between Virgo and their striker!
Cracking game though!!

Sorry but I completely disagree.
Virgo pushed the guy in the back for the pen. Ok it was only a small push but I thought it was a penalty before the ref blew.
As for the sending off Hoyte lashed out and kicked the guy after the ball had gone - clear red I'm afraid.
Agree with you about the cracking game part though!

You lot are getting a reputation for red cards, almost up there with 'dirty' Leeds. :fishing:

All about opinions i suppose, but if it was a push, then it certainly should have been a free kick for the push on our player (bennet or Hoyte) which led to the knock down for the pen!
Couldnt really see the red card, as they were facing away from the away end. Looked as though Hoyte did make contact, but it seemed as though he more pushed Pitman off of him after the free kick was given, than a dirty malicious kick or stamp. Ill probably be proved wrong tonight on the highlights though!

For the penalty I completely disagree. To be honest, if you give that then you probably give at least five penalties per game. Harrold's reaction was ridiculous and won them the penalty

As for the sending off, I saw nothing other than a foul by Hoyte. I assumed it was a booking when the ref came over and thought that was harsh. Having said that, if he did kick out he was stupid. However, their guy should have got a yellow for his reaction. Also, both in the build up to the sending off (Dicker) and the build up to their second goal (Murray) there were blatant fouls on our players missed.

How can ANYONE defend that?

Just seen it on the TV, and he just takes a swing as their bloke with his boot.

Disgraceful discipline.
