Snobbery. A slur on who she thinks votes Tory or UKIP. Seriously - you're fooling no-one with this line of defence. It is blindingly obvious what she means by it. You're being deliberately and extremely obtuse.

I'm not trying to defend anything, I don't think it was a terribly good idea to be honest. I'm just amused by your, and others', indignant response, which say more about your pre-conceptions than anything else. It's like she was on one big fishing trip.....

Yeah, my response and the professor of politics/Guardian columnist and just about everyone else....But you're probably right. A Labour MP thought it a jolly good idea to go on a 'fishing trip' mocking a specific type of voter - just for the lulz. Yup, that would be it.

I must be in that sort of mood.

I don't know who's digging a bigger hole, you or the hapless Thornberry who now claims:

"It was a house covered in British (sic) flags. I've never seen anything like it before. My point is that it's a remarkable image of a house completely covered in flags. There's three of them."

...actually, I think it's Thornberry. That's a spectacularly bad fib delivered so clumsily that she's made things worse, much worse.

Well at least it seems she can count to three. Quite lucky really because there's a good chance that is all the votes the Labour candidate will get.

UKIP are promising to ratchet up the controls on immigration from Europe. Do you imagine that they don't aspire to do the same with Commonwealth immigration and other immigration from outside Europe?

and right or wrong, this is why they will ride to a lot of victories
I really think that the major parties really do not see why UKIP are so popular ..........its because they are saying and doing what the public want
point in question the public want a good NHS and are will to pay for it, this government are systematically taking it apart and privatizing it.

and at 4am tomorrow morning there will many MP's having sleepless nights about how the hell they are going to earn a living legally and debating in their own mind whether to jump ship to UKIP

How? It's a very popular, widely-used public space, recently improved and upgraded into something quite pleasant.

.

Im led to believe by the younger generation that i know, ie my teenage and early 20's children and the associated friends/students etc it was a place to be avoided as it was was mainly frequented by wino's, drug users etc and never visited by police as it was seen as a 'condoned space'

The above people mentioned above avoid the place at all costs to the point of walking around it rather than through it as its viewed as a no go area.

So what you're actually saying is that you don't know what the Level is like as you're falling back on 'I'm led to believe...'

Who's talking about what it was? I'm talking about what it is.

I believe what the cross section of people are telling me yes.

You've got to admire her brassneck. She's now playing the victim card saying it's anti-Islington prejudice that's caused this media storm. She's quite pathetic.

Your post doesn't make sense. The only party which has even contemplated privatising the NHS is/was UKIP

Sorry you must be mistaken. According to sir albion they're all on the sausage, sat round in 10 bedroom mansions watching the Punjabi version of Jeremy Kyle and pissing themselves with laughter at their cleverness.

:D:D Nothing like a bit of over the top drama, i'm sure sir albion has not stated anything remotely near this......still gave me a chuckle.

Yup. Labour MP randomly taking photos of a by-election that UKIP are likely to win and it just so happens to be one of a house with white van and St George flags outside. No intent or slur intended. No sirree.

Dear oh dear, I'm concluding along with just about everybody else except for you that it's bleeding obvious why she posted that photo. Sometimes you just have to accept that some MPs are twats and some Labour MPs are dreadful snobs instead of pretending otherwise.

That's me sussed then, i have a COSG in my window, i fly the COSG for the World Cup......and next door occasionally has a white van parked in the shared drive.

So you haven't actually been there ?? Oh dear

It's a lovely place now - often go there of a lunchtime just to unwind. Your children clearly haven't been there since it was refurbished either.

I believe what the cross section of people are telling me yes.

So the point you are avoiding admitting is that you don't know for yourself, and haven't sought to find out. Your belief is being led (your words) by people who either don't know what they're on about, or you've decided to stick with what the park used to be like.

Meanwhile...

Then you are very out of touch, as far as what The Level is like NOW

Quite.

And even they haven't. Sadly too many people don't understand the difference between the words outsourcing and privatisation. Two utterly different concepts.

Quite.

If I'm not able to give a first hand account of my own experience then I have to rely on what others who i trust are telling me, as i would in any other situation in life as in in business or anywhere else.

You say it is a safe and nice place to visit, then ok your entitle to that opinion.
My children especially the female and her friends/work colleges do not feel safe around that area so don't go near it. It does not make them wrong.
You will excuse me if I value their opinion rather than yours.

You have mentioned that "what the park used to be like" ? what did it used to be like?
