Inexplicably popular wacky sitcom with two slightly funny characters, and two that could easily be from Mrs Brown's Boys. Still, each to their own.


The Royle Family

Underrated, subtle comedy with a huge amount of heart.


Minder

Arguably shouldn't be here as it doesn't truly fit as a sitcom...may not be an issue.

Early 80s satire. Maggie's favourite programme, apparently.​

Despite having Irish writers and cast, it is a British comedy.

Gets my vote, by far the best in the group & amongst the favourites for the competition.

Thought it was an RTE production and in true internet forum style I just had to point a perceived mistake out. As it goes I stand corrected. I voted for it as well.

Since when has Minder been a comedy? Comedy-drama maybe, but certainly not a conventional sitcom.

Has to be Father Ted in this group. Just because it had Irish actors, it was predominantly produced in the UK. Great show.
