I expect a release clause of £20m makes him very cheap compared with alternatives where clubs know we have nearly £100m available.
Bit underwhelming IMHO.

Would it be mental to play Milner as our ball winner?look adams isn’t a bad player, and would do what we need him to well. but i’ll be very disappointed if he’s our only replacement, due to the fact he has an atrocious injury record. if our issue now is that we’re missing ball-winning ability without caicedo, then adams only solves that so far as there’s going to be quite a few games this season where he’d be unavailable due to injury. if we don’t sign anyone else who can step into that role then we’re just back to square one, and totally at the whim of the player’s terrible fitness record
Had this conversation yesterday. He could definitely do it but probably not in back to back twice a week gamesWould it be mental to play Milner as our ball winner?
certainly an option. but not something that’s viable across the season, with the schedule we haveWould it be mental to play Milner as our ball winner?
It’s not according to Chelsea’s medical team though is it? It’s a Chelsea podcast host taking a source from the Mail. I’ll choose to trust Ornstein.Close to return from injury? Or out for another four months according to Chelsea's medical team?
The release clause in question might be a relegation release clause. If he has a release clause, he may well want another, so he'll Kudus himself.
Where's this new link? It's an absolute no brainer this one.Apparently back in ? He did pass his Chelsea medical, but they pulled out so the deal collapsed
It sounds to me like Chelsea made that up for PR.Rumoured to be out for 3/4 months.
Certainly would need another player in the door
Also seen what it's done for WelbeckHad hamstring surgery in March and not played since - why would you risk any money on him, when seen what hamstring surgery has done to Lamptey.
Would be madness.
I had a feeling that would be the role he played against Luton. I think he'd do the job pretty well, if called upon, though as others have said – not every game.Would it be mental to play Milner as our ball winner?
