1) The minute's silence was IMPECCABLY observed. Big mention and cheers to the Carlisle fans who helped make Mr Pavey's farewell a very dignified affair.

2) Absolute comedy genius refereeing in the second half. Two Albion players collide going up to head the ball and we get the free kick.

That's about it, isn't it?

Surely there was also the highlight of Seb Carole f***ing up set peices in ways you just did not think possible.

The ONLY positive I can take from it all is that it didn't rain.

I did enjoy a comment from a fellow fan who left shouting at the Carlisle bench:-

"You came all this way and only scored 2. That's the last time I'm watching your sh*t"."

I know it's not the evening to be positive, but oh well the hell.

Positives for me were:

Another good display by Davies
The fact Adams had the balls to hold his hand up and say I should have played Virgo at Centre Half, and made the change half way through the first half.
Despite playing average we still created a lot of chances.
The moles of Withdean Stadium are obviously so happy that they are content to pop there heads up at any time even if it is not convenient for Mr Forster.
Kuipers will probably now be back in the team.
McNulty didn't wear gloves
We didn't lose by four or more so no idiot journalist can use the phrase valentines day massacre!
And finally, I thought Gully's Girls put in a decent display.

Oh come on. He held his hands up by putting Virgo at centre back? Yes well done Micky. Took you about 7 games and another 30 mins to realise...

The presence in the middle stand at the Tongdean Lane end of a bunch of blokes dressed as Bananaman, Superman, Captain America, Hulk and Batman.

By half time, I was rather hoping they'd turn out to be a rogue wing of Fathers For Justice, who'd scale the floodlights, unfurl a large banner demanding access to their kids, and get the game abandoned.

Of course it could be that they were FFJ all along, but the game sucked all the life out of them as it did the rest of us, and they've all now phoned their ex-wives and said "sod it, you can keep the little shits".

Another positive - the 'Micky Mouse blue and white army' cover of The Seagull Love Review, complete with photoshopped Micky

The half-time Bovril was the best ever. It was the high point of my day.
