1) He is the player who most looks like scoring from open play and from distance. This means that defenders have to come out of their often packed penalty box to meet him, which creates space.

2) We have only a few players who can hold the ball up with their back to goal and lay it off to a team mate. But we have only ONE player who can do this OR INSTEAD choose to turn his man with his back to goal. That man is KLL.

Surely Gus can see this. Tough decision who to drop, but I reckon KLL deserves to start over Buckley on Saturday.

I still personally think he is better off the bench. Maybe I'm looking to much into the Ipswich game where he played for 90 minutes and was largely ineffective but I reckon 60 minutes is about his limit (at the moment anyway, unless his fitness has improved).

Am I the only one who was surprised KLL didn't start against Forest? Thought he made a massive impact when he came on at Charlton.

Not sure he's done himself justice when starting in the past but definitely worth a start on Saturday. Blackburn are on a bad run so lets get at them right from the off on Saturday. Be interesting to see what starting line-up Gus goes for after last night...

I'd be tempted to start him and Buckley, we need a win very badly. It's three wins in 16 games, that is sh*t for this team/squad.

Very impressed with Kaz last night, his career is at something of a crossroads, things haven't panned out the way he would have wanted since the bad injury and he has to start getting in the team and doing it in week in, week out again.

But he was MOM by a mile last night even being on the pitch 50 minutes. The guy can shoot straight and not over the bar, beat a man, pass to a team-mate, track back and tackle, and lift a crowd. Right now that gets him in to my starting XI.

Despite our dire first hour very enjoyable night, good to catch up with Simster after a few years.

Quite interesting to see how centrally and deep he played last night, especially in the 2nd half.

Got to start him. You have to react to the moment, and right now, regardless of what form he had before, he is the spark this team needs.

Unfortunately he has a habit of not playing too well when he starts, but he definitely deserves to have another go on Saturday after last night.

Thought he was dynamite last night. Defending, going forward, came deep, tried to thread some nice little balls into the box.

I agree, maybe start him Saturday, seeing as he is off in January anyway isn't he ?

Why on earth would lualua start ahead of Buckley? Did you not see the forest game or any previous game to that? Buckley is dangerous!

I HATE having a striker on the wing! We will play 4-3-3 which means we need 2 wingers. That's lualua AND Buckley!!

If anything I'd drop CMS for Dobbie and see how that works out. Maybe Hoskins up to poyet.

We've all seen what having 2 pacey, tricky wingers can do! Bolasie and Zaha are dynamite! Buckley and lualua can be as good!

I believe Gus told him to up his game if he wants to play more. He's done that recently and needs to start on Saturday or be a very early sub if Gus decides to continue starting with a bizarre team selection like last night that doesn't work, which I wouldn't bet against. Maybe he'll play Lua Lua in a more central position, looked pretty effective running from there last night.

Very true, but that isn't going to change without a run of games.

Still not convinced he should start. He seems to be one of those players who needs to have a chip on his shoulder to get the best out of him - something to prove. It seems that when he starts games he isn't on his game and becomes withdrawn.
