I feel sorry for some people but I sincerely hope that the Falmer NIMBYs are very inconvenienced.

Well I was very incovenienced this morning at about 11am.
I was stuck in the traffic trying to get home to Woodingdean, bloody awful. I have never seen a tailback like it goinq down the Falmer road towards Falmer.
But as I am retired and a fully fledged Albion fan, I didn't mind at all.

You ain't seen NOTHING yet.

Wait until we start digging up the A270 Lewes Road to lay on additional electricity capacity to serve the stadium site. To say nothing of the new junction and flyover arrangements at the Southern Water / Falmer High School entrance.

Glad I don't live anywhere near there!!

Don't you remember the very old days, before the A27 dual carriageway was built? There used to be massive tailbacks waiting to get across the cross-roads by the Swan Inn and the old petrol station on the A27.

Happens quite often, depends on what is going on at the Woodingdean crossroads.

As an aside, the next time that the A27 is dug up for renewal of the water main don't grumble at the water company - my Grandad was involved in putting it in in the first place and tells me he spent ages getting all the agreements signed with farmers for the pipes to go through their land beside the road, only for the road to be turned into dual carriageway a few years later - he wasn't best pleased.

I VERY rarely venture east of the A27 / A23 junction (people there are strange). Therefore, these tailbacks will have zero impact on my life. Everyones a winner.
