TWENTY20 FINALS DAY18/07/07

If your team have just qualified for the Twenty20 Finals Day at Edgbaston on 4th August there are still some tickets available for the day.

Due to an unavoidable server issue preventing sale as originally planned, tickets will be on sale from Friday morning July 19th at 9.30a.m, both over the phone, on 0870 062 1902 or via the internet www.edgbaston.com. There are only a limited number available so people are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are priced at £55 for adults and £20 for juniors.

The first semi- final will start at 11.30 with the second semi-final at 3.00p.m. The winners of those matches will go head to head at 7.15p.m in the Final of the competition.

Hospitality packages are still available for this special day starting from just £225+VAT so if you fancy enjoying the day in the luxury of one of Edgbaston’s suites call Mark Farrant on 0121 446 3650 or by email at markfarrant@edgbaston.com.

Sussex and Kent given second semi

Sussex will play local rivals Kent in the second Twenty20 Cup semi-final at Edgbaston on 4 August. Lancashire have been paired with Gloucestershire in the opening match of the day, starting at 1130 BST. Sussex face fellow Finals Day new boys Kent from 1500 BST, with the winners contesting the final at 1915 BST on the same day in Birmingham.

"We've had some real tussles with Kent in the past," said Sussex captain Chris Adams. "We know each other very well."

Yep ..also tried unsuccessfully on line....do the other counties get allocated tickets or just the hosts and four qualifiers ?
Looks like it's 1,500 each initially for the members (general sale if members do not sell out) of the four final counties with the rest going to Warwickshire members and prawn sandwiches, it's a DISGRACE.

Update from the Sussex CCC website this morning:

Sussex Sharks have been drawn against Kent Spitfires in the semi-finals of the Twenty Cup. The match will be played at Edgbaston on August 4th, and the final will follow at 7.15pm on the same day.

Ticket information for the Twenty20 Finals Day at Edgbaston will be released once we have received confirmation of our allocation of tickets and we will advise here on www.sussexcricket.co.uk and via local media as soon as possible.

We anticipate that tickets will be available both over the phone and in person at the club from early next week.

We hope to accommodate the needs of both members and non-members.
