Stop being so precious. It largely was. It was a good performance from us first half, they had a bit more to them in the second, but lets not get carried away, it wasn't the most memorable from a footballing stand point for the most part. There may be a moment or two to remember (hammond's header right at Speroni's head, Kuszczak and Orlandi teaming for a goal mouth clearance) but generally it was just regular football.

Any added sentimentally will come from the brighton/palace rivalry that most other neutral people just don't get.

A play-off semi final between two rival clubs.. Of course it was edgy! So much to lose!

A nice wide pitch at the Amex awaits..

Upset me? I'm not the one hurling abuse at a news reporter because he dared to suggest there was nothing particularly noteworthy in a game that ended 0-0, had no red cards, few yellows, no serious penalty claims, no fights, no controversy, no out of the ordinary fantastic passage of play.

Shit game for a neutral. No one can argue with that.

Sums it up. Not a good game of football but we did what was necessary.

Completely agree with this. No controversy. No Pens. Not many fouls. Good reffing decisions (apart from Kuszczak's bizarre booking). Rather a non-event for any neutrals.

This bloke is a total bellend. I remember his reporting of some trouble in marseille in 1998 at the World Cup, he was live and behind him a load of North Africans were running riot, however he was saying they were English and what a disgrace they were to the country ! Total :tosser:

Indeed. I was at the Maarseilles match and the only people making trouble were Morroccans and Tunisians.
The Engerland were impeccible.
