The 60s and 70s were a really good period for great TV themes - Persuaders, The Prisoner, The Avengers, Man in a Suitcase, Van der Valk etc and not forgetting this one - just the right mix of cool and spooky

Used to give me nightmares. Reason was it i could stay up to watch that and go to bed. It was such a jolly tune and then ….silence and dark. i think the blackness was suffocating or something.

Used to love the Persuaders, thought Tony Curtis in particular was so cool. I was in my early teens mind you. Watched an old episode on one of the Gold channels the other day. It was awful!
