Nothing to do with stewards though is it? It's to do with observing ground regulations, and fans using a bit of common sense every now and then.

The stewards probably got their Nazi ideas from watching 'Escape to Victory' on ITV 4 yesterday.

Seriously, fans know the ground regulations and possible consequences for breaking them.

Well I suppose it is not completely but some one has to report them to people higher in the club

Think about it. Steward has a job, for which he has been trained, and is paid for. He is required to (try to) ensure the ground regulations are adhered to. He tells the supporter to sit down, he tells him again. Next match he is told to tell the fan to stop standing, again, and again, and again, he is doing his job, and what he is being instructed to do. The fact the fan has not taken any notice is hardly the stewards fault is it? The club is responsible to make sure the ground regulations are adhered to, don't blame the stewards, blame the person who couldn't just sit down for a bit, like all the others around him obviously did.

Agree completely, best bet is common sense, and you'll be fine, piss the stewards off by baiting them, refusing their requests, and then you may have to live with the consequences.

100% behind the stewards, one fan stands up and a dozen can't see behind, how selfish is that!. There is a iddiot who stands in front and to the side of me every time there is a corner, I miss the action every time!

If the whole north stand stand up for an entire match... What would happen then.??

The metal wall comes up from the ground in front of the North Stand.

That looks like it's a back row seat with the wall behind?
That's got nothing to do with anything. Standing is unsafe wherever it is. Unless something exciting happens in which case jumping around like a lunatic is perfectly safe.

This is why the rules are so f***ing stupid.

or if the club suggested that by buying a ST in a specific area will provoke a "lenient" response to standing?

You cant send out two messages. Its either one or the other.

And to be honest Phil, how many away games have you actually sat down in? certainly none of the ones we have "stood" together over the years..
