Entitled Chelsea fans have been putting the boot in from day one! 'Why have we sacked a world class manager to bring in a no-mark wth no pedigree and no experience other than managing teams like Brighton?'

Entitled maybe but on this point they are right. If I were a Chelsea fan, which will never happen, I would wonder why they sacked a decent manager and replaced him with someone slightly worse.

Smug is probably not the right emotion, he was only a manager, they come they go, but I think 'our collective feelgood' moment as Albion fans isn't that far away.
A lot of Chelsea fans I speak to reckon its Top 4 this year or they will admit their mistake, but just imagine, Matchday 38, we finish 7th and Potter's Blues 8th? (but if that were the case he might have gone before then?)

FWIW I thought Chelsea were wrong to get rid of Tuchel, he achieved a lot of success with them.
That said I think Potter is a much better manager than those pundits and incredibly entitled fans realise. If they do not sack Potter and give him the time to implement his vision then he'll do well there as he'll have better players to realise that vision.
The level of hysteria surrounding Potter now was entirely predictable and for me makes his decision to leave Brighton baffling. No doubt he's a richer man, but his brand is being damaged at a club that historically has zero patience.
However more fool him. If he does get run out of there by some impatient spoilt brats then I'll be shedding no tears on his behalf.

I’d take what Dyer said with a pinch of salt, he’s been managed by neither man so only has hearsay to rely on. Perhaps the current player he spoke to isn’t in favour with Potter so has a stake in undermining him, also surely it’s too soon to compare, Potter has only been in the job for 12 weeks.
That said, good riddance to all of them. Chelsea can do one.

I wonder where Potter will end up if he does get the sack? A smaller PL team like Bournemouth, Southampton or Leeds or possibly abroad again?
My GP senses were tingling so had to come here and take a look.
Every single player in the current Chelsea squad have played for both managers. Obviously.
Anyway, not surprised if some players preferred Tuchel. They performed like a mid-table PL team for the last 7 or 8 months of his time there, but still the "big names" had nothing to worry about, getting in the side every week. Its obviously a nightmare for a player like Sterling, who likes to show up when it suits him, that there is a good chance someone like 18-year-old Lewis Hall might take his place in the side. As in the cases with players like Maty Ryan, Davy Pröpper, Martin Montoya and others, their number of caps and accomplishments won't matter. The best players with the best attitudes will play, others can look for a new club. No shit some of the older players won't appreciate it.

It's a cheap shot from Dyer. Was sad to hear about some of the horrible stuff that allegedly happened to him during his youth. That said, the above interview and comments regarding Potter at Chelsea does nothing for Dyer's media reputation. If that is something he's intending on trying to build.

I agree and for it to work he is going to have to be given the time to transform the squad and offload the Prima Donnas. My only reservation is will the big money players actually ever listen to a manager who has won nothing as a player or a manager, and whether the fans will make it so toxic that the owners will have no choice but to sack him unless there is a quick turnaround in results and performances.
It is a massive step up for a man who seems very sensitive to criticism too.

I really am struggling to see why people are obsessed with Graham Potter. Especially now he's left.
Like it or not, despite an up and down few years at the helm he left us in a very good place, for a better paid job at a much bigger club. He's going through a sticky patch now not too dissimilar from what we saw several times in his tenure. He might fail, or he might be backed to bring in players that suit his styoe and be a roaring success. Or he might just be a bit average after all.
Whatever happens though, people need to get over it.
