TUBE stations...where's the good pubs then ?

Decent pub next door to Oxford Circus station.

Can't remember the name of it though.

I'm not too fussed about SLUTTAGE tomorrow, just after somewhere that does food, has Sky Sports, and doesn't look like its modelled on a backstreet skank bar from the Gaza strip.

So far, I think Al's one by Oxford Circus, or the selections at Angel is looking fave.

It's good in there, it's on the corner of Argyll St up from the Palladium, you won't get a seat any time after 5pm on a weekday, or at the weekend - it always seems to be rammed whenever I've been in.

What about The Princess Louise near Holborn tube?

PS. I think they did only sell Samuel Smith's as they own the pub, this is probably still the case.

goodge street is acers.

go down goodge street and hit a couple of boozers there, then cut down into charlotte street. loadsa pubs, always busy though, amazing in the summer on charlotte street - outside drinking scenez.

The Churchill Arms - Notting Hill (Thai food - lovely pub)

The Bree Louise near Euston is excellent.

I've also enjoyed The Price of Wales Feathers opposite Warren Street as well.

No decent boozer is going to have Sky Sports in it. If that's your bag, you are better off heading to one of the Walkabouts -either Temple or Covent Garden.

St James has three top notch proper pubs - The Red Lion in Duke Of York St - The Chequers in Duke St, and another Red Lion in Crown Passage. Disembark at Piccadily Circus.

Get off at Vauxhall Tube, turn right, then into Spring Gardens, The Queen Anne, £1 a dance, bargain. Or get off at Embankment, turn left, Motion Bar, happy days.
