And no doubt that the FBI will find exactly what they were " searching " for

I'm sure they will. In the same way the police investigating the Great Train Robbery found that evidence in the farmhouse. Or the police investigating the Hatton Gardens heist found those diamonds. Or...

It doesn't really sound like much of a search. They were told what was there and where it was. It was a recovery job, not a fishing trip.

The worst President in history will eventually face the consequences, just a shame it's taking so long.

I’m sure this was just because he wanted a memento and not because he was planning on flogging them to his friends in Moscow. No sir.

Maybe not. The rumour is that he was flogging them to his friends in Saudi Arabia. Whatever, it does seem apparent that there were nuclear documents that he wasn't supposed to have. The Rosenbergs were executed for less.

Poor, maligned Trump, subjected to 'the greatest witchhunt in history'.
You really do expose yourself to a litany of nonsense.

Trump-Russia Steele dossier analyst charged with lying to FBI

A Russian analyst who worked on a dossier that made unsubstantiated claims linking Donald Trump to the Kremlin has been arrested in the US.

The Department of Justice charged Igor Danchenko, 43, with lying to the FBI.

He was detained as part of an inquiry into the origins of baseless claims that Mr Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.

The so-called Steele Dossier was used by the FBI to obtain surveillance warrants on a top Trump aide.

The document was held up by Democrats to paint Mr Trump as a Russian puppet, a narrative amplified in a feedback loop by most US media for much of the president's four years in office.

A lawyer for the Russian analyst did not immediately respond to requests for comment, Reuters news agency reports.

Mr Danchenko worked with ex-British spy Christopher Steele on the dossier.

So this shows that the FBI are impartial and follow the evidence. All the way to Trump's private safe in his inner sanctum.

I seem to recall that is was the FBI that used the Clinton campaign funded and discredited Steele Dossier to obtain FISA warrants to illegally spy on Carter Page

Ah, the usual tactic of distraction from the actual story with some small irrelevance which better suits the narrative of the desperate and hopeless. You know very well that you're using smoke and mirrors because Trump illegally retaining documents he knew he shouldn't is a serious federal crime and hopefully, it will be the thing which sees him go to prison for his crimes and general lack of understanding of and respect for democracy.

Maybe one day you'll see what a disaster he has been, but probably not.

For context.

Right-wing columnist and attorney Andrew C. McCarthy reacted to what he described as the "if not irrational, then exaggerated" reactions by Trump supporters to these reports of arrests. He urged them to be cautious as Durham's indictments "narrowly allege that the defendants lied to the FBI only about the identity or status of people from whom they were getting information, not about the information itself.

You need another tree to bark up.

The problem with discrediting the institutions of state in support of a politician or political party is that society itself is undermined. All sides of politics do it. You are doing it now.

Particularly when you're also trying to undermine appointees of the person you're trying to support.

FBI head appointed by Trump.
Judge that signed off the search warrant, yep you guessed it, appointed by Donald J Trump.
Even the law he is probably going to get accused of breaking was signed off by the man!

My view is that they have evidence so damming that no one wants to associated with him.
It’s going to be carnage and the only one who can’t see it is trump which is all rather wonderful.

As we all know now the FBI were aware that Trumps former Advisor Carter Page was a CIA asset but for reasons I don't understand ( I am sure you will though ) still accused him of being a Russian spy .

If Trump was working for Putin why did Russian not invade Ukraine when he was POTUS , as if they did then Trump would shirley have blocked milliary and financial aid being sent to the Ukrainians

https://thehill.com/opinion/judiciary/474570-an-apology-to-carter-page/

Ultimately, special counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence of collusion or conspiracy by Trump associates or the campaign with those Russians intervening in the election. However, Horowitz found that the FBI never had any real evidence against Page before beginning its investigation, codenamed Operation Crossfire Hurricane. Soon after the investigation was opened, it became clear that Page had been wrongly accused and was, in fact, working for the CIA, not the Russians. Page himself later said he was working with the CIA, yet the media not only dismissed his claim but was very openly dismissive while portraying him as a bumbling fool.
