[Albion] Trouble Sunday between fans

And, bizarrely, in 91 against Notts County.

My then girlfriend was a bit anxious about supposed football hooligans. I reassured her there wouldn't be any trouble and there was no real history between the two sets of fans, so she came along too.

After the miserable defeat, whilst we were sitting in the car in the main Wembley car park waiting to get away, it kicked off all around. One County fan got thrown and slid, Starsky and Hutch style, right across the bonnet of our car.
I remember that day for meeting a couple of friendly County fans, who I encountered later as our paths to away matches crossed again. They had girlfriends with them and as we were walking down Wembley Way I managed to throw up after some strong cider. Never have I felt so ashamed at a footie match.

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!

I'm heading there at the same time for a game of Petanque. I'll bring boules.

No nothing major. Trips like this are all colours and families and a bit of light hearted banter etc. And it’s Man Utd and there’s no bad feeling really.

It’ll be fine.
It was very lively the two games in 1983…

This thread reminds me of shrubbery. Definitely feels like some kind of bush based vibes.

I was on The Clifton coach from Worthing and anyone who was around in those days would have known how that ended. There were so many Utd scarbrs nicked that day that some BHA fans thought we were Mancs ourselves…….. strange when you look back to that custom of pinching rival fans scarves. I burnt mine on the way home.
If someone tries to pinch my scarf, I'll get Jnr to smack them on their head with his foam FA Cup or flick them in the eye with the bells on his jesters hat! I'd take them apart myself.... but he's taller than me & if I wore the hat the bells would probably only tickle their chin. I'll be disappointed if they don't provide flags in the stadium this time because then we'll have to travel back to Brighton with a load of p**sed off Man U supporters & we'll be unarmed. 😮

I’m confused - Notts County match - Man Utd scarves?!

These days I'm more worried about trouble between De Zerbi and whoever is anywhere within 10ft of him on the touchline than I am worried about opposition fans. Absolutely love his passion but don't want him to be sent off too often.
