I was talking to a friend who knows bugger all about football
and they asked how many grounds in England are there
where you can see water (sea, estuary, river, lake or pond)
without going to extremes of standing on the roof or floodlights
etc. In other words, from a seated or standing position in the
stand.

We got:

Shrewsbury
Fulham
Notts County
Forest

Any others? There must be others.

My sister fell in a ruddy great puddle outside Peterborough one year! Does that count?

Stockport has a reservoir one side and the Mersey the other. Dunno if you can see either from within the ground though?

Can't believe no one has mentioned Middlesborough yet.....the clue is in the name!
