Said to my bro last night he's got a touch of Taxi Driver about him.

Pale
Mad, dead eyes
The hair

Which is amusing as he seems like a lovely bloke.

Is his pile driver the best goal you've seen at the Amex?

My brother, who is not given to extravagant language, just said "sensational". Watching it in replays, there didn't seem to be any element of it being lucky, or "it could go anywhere". He meant it.

Didn't he have a reputation for doing some things in his homeland?

I went with:-

"oh my god" - then mental celebrating.

I can't think of any better, but that might just be down to location.
From the Family Stand I had a completely unimpeded view of the whole move, from the long ball forward through to the net lifting off the ground.

I've been told off for saying it's the best goal I've ever seen live but it really was.

To hit the ball like that in the air takes such skill and precision and our Skallywag has got that in spades.

I remember seeing a similar goal in his highlights reel.

It seemed that the crowd knew it was coming.
As soon as the ball got to him everyone around us stood up expecting something special.

Apparently Goldson was "screaming at him not to shoot" :lolol:

From the Argus

Goldson said: “The most important thing at this stage is three points.

“Anthony’s first was a great free-kick and, with Jiri’s, I was screaming ‘Don’t shoot’ and he hits the top corner! They were both great goals and they are both capable of that.”

He's got balls to even try it, could have gone anywhere from there, could have hit it sweetly and gone straight at the keeper.

Cracking strike, bit of a worldly and one of the best I can remember

It's definitely up there.

In terms of the ol' fashion 'screamer' i'd also put Sparrow v Southampton and Bruno v....Weds, I think it was?

It was against Bolton, a game featuring possibly the latest and most irritating equalizer we've conceded at the Amex.
