I had a similar experience several years ago after a game at Withdean. On the South West trains service from Brighton to Worthing, the guard had no clue what the vouchers were about. After a "what is this"? & "I don't think this is valid" he argued the point with me saying: "It only says Southern & Thameslink anyway" on the voucher. I pointed out it also stated "Stagecoach services" & as SouthWest Trains were owned by Stagecoach etc etc:bla:

After I pointed out, half the train had vouchers & was he going to argue it out with everyone, he reflected he was on a loser & sloped off. :lolol:

I used to catch the same train home after most games at Withdean. No other guard checking tickets ever gave a shit. There's always one.........

i should of also told you that he collared a bloke behind me who was with three others who didn't have vouchers told the bloke with the voucher that he would put him on a group ticket with the other three, when he heard me argue with the guard about this voucher he demanded his money back only for the guard to tell him it was all drink talk and to sit back down ,his mates had to restrain him at this point. that's customer service for you
