Transferring music from iPod to PC

I've just bought a new laptop to replace my broken PC and I'm looking to transfer my music from my iPod touch (2nd gen. if it's relevant) to said laptop into iTunes.

I know there's plenty of software out there that is just the job, so was really looking for opinions based on first hand experience.

I don't mind paying a bit for ease and quickness of use, as it has to be better than burning several hundred CD's again!

If this has been done to death, did a search and nothing fitted exactly. If it has, feel free to fixture me, but do point me in the right direction!

I did it the other day .. used sharepod ... free download, all very easy and done in a couple of min's

Yep I agree, I have used sharepod a couple of times now. Very quick and easy.

Always back up iTunes via c drive onto external memory, you can then download iTunes and your iTunes back catalogue

Actually , may of paid a small fee for it . Either way did the job

Cheers guys, sounds like Sharepod could be the way forward.
