The premier league tried it, but were left out on a limb as no other league followed suit. The leagues do need to be aligned really

Go back in time and the transfer window opened on the 1st July and carried on right up until about the third week in March!!!

Though it does mean two more weeks of a certain poster’s biannual breakdown about signing a striker, before they disappear again until January.

Sod closing day before the first league game, it should be 2 weeks before the charity shield. Sadly other leagues wouldn’t cooperate

They should hire Olympia for a weekend all agents have stalls with their players sat on the stalls. Club management then turn up going round the stalls looking for the players to buy.
When the last few players are left bogof and discount kicks in.
