Tuesday 26 December (Boxing Day)

No services except for the following:
A half hourly train service will run between London Victoria and West Croydon. This service will call at Battersea Park, Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Common, Balham, Streatham Common, Norbury, Thornton Heath, Selhurst and West Croydon. First train will depart London Victoria at 08:00, then every 30 minutes until 22:00. First train will depart West Croydon at 07:45 then every 30 minutes until 21:45



(First Capital Connect)

Tuesday 26 December (Boxing Day)
A frequent coach service will operate in both directions between Luton Airport and London, calling at Harpenden and St Albans. In London these buses will serve King's Cross Thameslink, Farringdon and London Blackfriars.

The first southbound service will depart Luton Airport at 0700 and arrive at King's Cross Thameslink at 0823, Farringdon at 0830 and Blackfriars at 0833. Coaches will then depart Luton Airport every 15 minutes until the last service at 2200 from Luton Airport

The first northbound service will depart Blackfriars at 0630, Farringdon at 0633 and King's Cross Thameslink at 0640; this service will arrive at Luton Airport at 0803. Coaches will then depart Blackfriars, Farringdon and King's Cross Thameslink every 15 minutes until the last service at 2145 from Blackfriars.

No services will operate on any other First Capital Connect route

I think you'll find that the main reason for the disruption to trains across the holiday period this year is that major engineering works are happening on the Brighton line.

It seems sensible to me to do this at a quiet time like Christmas, rather than when commuter traffic is at its highest.

It's called "giving priority to season ticket holders".

There are lots of buses though from the city centre. If you are going by car then I suggest you leave earlier than usual for the game.

Damned sensible if you ask me. I was supposed to be in the office 27th-29th, but because of the engineering works, I shall be "working from home"
