Is it me or is this just plain stupid. Just tried to buy a return train ticket from Shoreham to E. Croydon (not a destination of choice, of course, but I need to go). I was told it is cheaper to buy a ticket to Victoria !!! WTF is that all about.

A return to E.C. would have cost me £18, but the return to Vic was £13 - I can see the argument for puting people off gooing to EC, but really !!

They do a promotional price to Victoria to compete against the ultra cheap coaches.

I've just booked my train tickets for the Norwich game. Leeds to Norwich = £8.50 each way !!!!

Understand that, but it still doesn't make much sense, that for a price reduction of over 25% I have to get a ticket to go 10 miles further.
