Currently on train from
Gatwick and am being diverted via Lewes from Haywards Heath, so I guess that will be how it is for a while.

Just come back from East Chiltington via Ditchling. Quite a lot of flooding at both villages with roads off the main B road starting to become very very tricky.

Yes but these are facts which lefties tend to try and ignore

I shall refer you to TLO's post in the other train thread. A German's idea of poor service is very very very different to that of the UK. Germans were complaining about 85% punctuality on a service. Southerns was at a shocking 50% if memory serves me correctly. Remember, this is a nation where not getting to the finals of a football tournament is a utter disaster. Quarters is a success for England. Get the picture?

Besides. My "wouldn't happen in Germany" post was tongue-in-cheek.

They really haven't got a clue have they?

At short notice they obviously decided they are able to run a service - are you criticising them for that ?

Oh, and Southerns 50% punctuality was at the end of last year when we were getting battered by the weather. Im sure when Germany was being battered last Summer, its railways in some areas had the same figures.
