Agreed.

I thought that those days of screaming 'Come on Cav!' had gone. But I've been sucked right back in there.

In the days of Wiggins and Cav we were utterly spoilt. I loved Bradley, but Cav always had it in my eyes.

To me, he's one of the greatest British sportspeople ever.

Wiggins definitely too, but a bit of a morose character, he did have a difficult childhood.

Cav is charismatic. I’ve come across a couple of English Cav-haters before, the usual story of hating a successful Brit with a open personality (Hamilton and Rashford get this big time) or from pure jealously.

Cav like a Ferrari four times on the Champs-Elysees was also incredible, he destroyed the other best bunch sprinters on the planet.

He was a freakin concorde the year Renshaw almost rolled in second.
The way Renshaw kissed the apex of the final final bend and Cav just blindly followed was a sight to behold.

That year it was harder to lose than it was to win.

In the earlier Cav years, I always cancelled anything else for those Sunday finales in Paris.

Their final burst of power, filmed brilliant by the french TV people next to them, was a thing of beauty.

So this should, already, be Pogačar's 2nd TdF, his main rivals out of the way so will win by many minutes, instead of only a few, unless he ends up overcooking it... The rest will be racing for the podium or a top 10 now, if they weren't already.

He is a VERY special talent, only 22.

How many TdFs will he win, 7+?

He is the best TT and the best climber and he is only going to get better.

Perception is a funny thing.

I really don't yearn to live in a French Alpine village/town.

Le Tour charges around the country and I'm laying on the sofa saying 'oh that looks nice' right up until the chalets loom into view, at which point I'm all 'not for me clive'.

What do the does the white icon to the left of the 2,3 and 4 group indicators mean? I've not noticed then before

Is it just to show what group their showing as it goes yellow?

Yes is a double ended arrow indicating the time distance between each group, which as you say goes yellow as per which camera is live.

Well, that was a special stage, and Pogacar is unbelievably dominant. Disgusting conditions, but at least they finished the stage this time.

Let's hope Cav beats the time limit!

I've just seen that bloke lose his line looking over his shoulder and dropping off the side of the road. That's me that is.

I'm on Colbrelli for the Green jersey so let's hope he doesn't...

BTW what a blinding stage from Colbrelli...A sprinter 'who can climb a bit' finishing third in a major Alpine stage...

Shame the comms were more interested in Pogacar finishing 6th than bigging up a way greater achievement (imo)

As they said on the comms, that's a shite load of work for 35 points.
