He was a bit underwhelming IMHO. Steady at best. Connolly looked very lively.

In the bits I saw he was nearer to being a winger than inside left foward.
Certainly not through the middle.

It was weird. They lacked shape I thought. The number 6 was DM, and they had a number 10 from Wolves who looked very good but he was basically playing a free role. So Molumby appeared to play somewhere between the two, but often in a wider position. Actually, after his first game as captain he commented on the lack of shape, said something like 'the gaffer just let's us do what we want', and you got that impression. I think he was coasting a bit too.

Connolly was playing a little deeper than the other striker, but definitely on the left.
