Wtf - how is having a decent budget and finishing 4th in a league where you were hoping to finish 4th a better achievement than someone who has given a small, unfashionable team one of, if not the best season in its history despite its limited resources and small squad size. It shows how the top four places are now the be all and end all of that division.

Joke decision for a joke division.

To take a team from near relegation last season to 4th possibly even 3rd, is worthy of the title irrespective of the money spent on players. In previous seasons the wealthy clubs have spent more and achieved less.

Agreed. I'm not denying that he seems to leave clubs in a lot of debt but on the field, he has done an AMAZING job.

Yes he's spent money, but so did the managers before him.
Ramos spent a lot of cash and yet couldn't even get them out of the relegation zone.

Although I also think Roy should have won manager of the season, I hardly think Harry winning it is a joke decision..

Redknapp has done a good job in fairness.

I dont realy see that the amount money spent is an issue. I believe that it is Spurs highest finish for 20 years, and in that time others managers have had plenty of cash to spend without the same result.

Saying that Hogson is obviously the EPL manager of the season.

Worth giving a mention McCleish who has somehow kept Birmongham in the top half.

Very poor decision as in a few years no doubt Spuds will self-implode like Bournemouth, Pompey and Saints.

Fulham manager deserves this award

how the f*** roy didnt get that is anyones guess

hopefully he will get the lma one - all the top managers were hailing his performances, so if there is any justice he will pick up the award that REALLY matters having come from his peers

Hang on. Isn't it the Premier League manager of the season? Fulham have been average in the Premier League.

thats a good point

in which case id have plumped for alex mcleish - keeping birmingham up in the fashion he has spending very little was a superb achievement

Dream on.

Spurs are possibly the best-run club in the Premiership.

As it happens, I'd go for Hodgson too, but Redknapp's done an incredible job in the time he's been at the Lane.

I thought he's had a bit of cash since the takeover. What about Pulis?

I think Harry is a decent choice really

Roger Johnson - £5 million
Ferguson - £1.2 million
Dann - £3.5 million
Hart - Free

I didn't fancy Birmingham to stay up before the season started but Mcleish did a fantastic job..

All this talk of Hodgson winning the manager of the year was ridiuclous from start to finish. Why would he win it? They've won once away all season (on the opening day against almighty Pompey) and they've been truly average in the league all season, with the 3-0 thrashing of Man Utd aside. He's not been the best manager in the league this season by a country mile. And neither has McGleish, for that matter. Joe Hart has been inspired, but he'll be gone next season. They don't score goals and they rely on two decent central defenders and a good goalkeeper to scrape through. They went on that long unbeaten run where they kept playing average teams, and it masked how average they actually are. But they've done well to finish where they will.

Surely the manager of the season is the guy who has won it in his first season here? He only signed Zhirkov (ok, for £18million!) and guided them to the title having scored 7 (seven) on 3 seperate occaisons. Maybe 4, if they have a laugh tomorrow.
