Been confirmed today on a general release email from Paul Rogers to 1901 members that the Spurs game is included in our package.

They need the 1901ers to turn up en masse to make sure the hospitality and catering runs smoothly. The Moët is already on ice.

surely last seasons STH's will get priority if not the club are out of order, t will end up full of people that didnt even go withdean last season not having a clue what an albion song is

Why? Doesn't make sense that you would put last seasons STH's before the 17500 that have bought tickets for this season, it's a pre season friendly, the clue is in the name.

Well I have decided to make the first league game my first visit to the Amex, going to the first game as a friendly will take something away from that first competitive match at the Amex. i can't wait but I am willing to wait an extra week for all the excitment.

Here. Here. My daughter is away for the Spurs game so my son and I shall wait as well. Please don't let it be the Friday. Also want to see our stone.

Because supply outweighs demand

For games once the season has started is different, but assuming every season ticket holder wants to go there isnt enough.

Therefore would expect that there is a decent chance last seasons STH will get a chance before any new season ticket holders

I think it's only fair that those of us that have sat in the pissing rain & got soaked through to the skin and endured hypothermia should at least get priority over someone who hasn't ever seen us play !

This

Im not getting all high and mighty about JCL, and as far as i'm concerned once the season starts proper every STH is on a level playing field

However i think all the withdean season ticket holders should have the right to see the first Brighton game at the Amex should they choose

Good news if they do this for the Pompey game which they should.

Gives us loyal withdeaners the chance to get ahead in the new points system

I'd imagine the PSL holders will get a first pick of 'their' seat.

Totally agree with your sentiments there but as far as I'm concerned the 1st Game that should enter our history at The Amex is against Donny...End of. Whilst it would be nice to get tickets for myself and my son for the Spurs game, whilst annoying, I wont lose sleep over it. Lets see how many JCL's turn up for the Gillingham League Cup game. Don't think you'll see many big names in the Spurs line-up IMO.

I think that long term STH should get first priority there are a lot of people who. like me, will have had ST at The Goldstone, Gillingham and Withdean.

That is kinda my point BG. There are limited amount of tickets available, and as drumstick states "PSL holders will get a first pick of 'their' seat. " There are so many people who want to be there, I don't think the club can win either way. So a first come first served, is the only way to do it. I understand the sentiments, but I suspect most of us on here were at the Goldstone, Priestfield, and Withdean.

Most of us on here were but not most of this years 17500 STH. How the club can prioritise the allocation I do not know. Perhaps the answer would have been to have had a friendly against a low key side like Barnet, Gillingham or Bury as the one to gain the final certificate and then play the prestige one with a side like Spurs to a full capacity crowd.

I don't really consider Spurs to be the opening game at the Amex, any more than I considered the Forest friendly to be the opening game at Withdean. The first game at Withdean, tagged as the first game back in Brighton, was the 6-0 v Mansfield.

Its ALL about the first competitive game, everything else is just a little practice.

110% agree with this.

I regard this as a ramp up event, no interest in it whatsoever.

First game is Aug 6th, Doncaster Rovers, bring on the 3 points - its not all about the stadium

Who cares about a friendly anyway. Wait until August 6th and stop your moaning.

Blah blah STH in the rain at Withdean, and in the car to Gills. Me too!!! but please its a frigging friendly against, what will be, a second string Spurs side.

The club need a ramp event, this is it alongside SSCF.
