Loving some of the comments on the Spurs forum about time wasting. Bearing in mind they have a player, ie KANE, who spends nearly the whole of every match diving all over the shop.

Pot, kettle, black. If he spent less time diving and on the golf course he could be quite good.

Spurs supporting colleague tells me we were anti football.

Showed him the detailed stats, progressive passing, passes in final third, shots etc and he said “yeah that’s just the stats, I was there, don’t know how you watch this week in week out”

Asked him to compare Saturday to the away defeat in CH’s final season and he said it was the same, which is frankly bollocks and sour grapes

I was actually gutted that Arsenal did take advantage of the situation

If I were you, I'd be spamming him with all the match reports praising us and saying we thoroughly deserved the win. Plus videos of the goal, of course.

Ultimately such 'anti-football' comments are just any excuse to mask a really poor performance from their team on the day. It didn't help that Kane spent half the week aross the pond watching the Masters and was apparently suffering from jet-lag. Big time Charlie who should have been more focused on his club than going on a 'jolly'. What a tool.

Biss hits form and is starting again, Dunk has played through his dodgy period, we are starting to look good again without Webster (who I have been reliably informed was the main reason for our bad run) and got deserved wins at Arsenal and Spurs. If our top scorer gets over his worst run of form since he arrived here, we should be on for a good finish.

we were never going to finish above leicester?

We're on the same number of points as them now

You've missed the point totally though. By now we have dropped so many points that we should have picked up that I have lost count, whereas I don't see us having been robbed once. Yes, we got late equalizers in both Palace games, West Ham and Stains but in three of those four games we should have had goals way earlier than we did.

So, my point is, whether we finish 15th and way below Leicester or 9th and above them, we should have had several more points than whatever it is we do finish with.

Ha ha what an idiot. Fulfills a stereotype of many Spurs fans I know!

Reminds me of dog owners that fall into 2 categories; pet owners and dog owners. Spurs fans are like pet owners. They’re only interested in their dog, doesn’t matter they are completely clueless in the park letting their dog run riot, if another dog barks at their dog, regardless of what their dog has done, they go mad.

Dog owners on the other hand love their dog but also love everyone else’s dogs and have a bit of sympathy if a dog is a bit reactive, they’ll put their dog on a lead to respect the other dog etc. ask owners how they’re getting on.

Were they the same as the comments on here after we played Wolves?

That’s not true though. We stole points away at Burnley (could have been 3 down at half time) we didn’t deserve to win at Brentford away and got hugely lucky with VAR against Leicester at home, on another day we draw or lose that game. Against Palace away and definitely Southampton away we were lucky to get a point.

So although we should have had a handful more points this narrative we should have loads more is just not true. No team ever goes through a season never dropping points and always fully deserving every point the my get in each individual game.

Leicester was an interesting one. They made the same mistake twice so it's either two goals or no goals. At least the application of the law was consistent.

Thought we were the better side away to Palace too. Yes, a little lucky at Stains though we missed an easier chance (Connolly?) before we scored.

Burnley looked a game of two halves from the stream, like many of our games. They should have been out of sight and we punished them when they weren't. How many times have we done that?

Two points dropped at home to Norwich, Leeds, Newcastle, Arsenal and Palace. Two dropped away to Norwich. Arguably three dropped at Newcastle where we had 15 shots, 68% possession and twice as many passes. I make that 15 points we've not got that we arguably should.

Of course no one expects us to draw away to Liverpool or beat Arsenal or Spurs away. While we fully deserved all seven of those points they are a total bonus in "Giraffe tracker" terms.

This.
As JJ said we kept it up the whole game and didn't give them a sniff. JJ is always very complimentary of us when we play well. Good pundit, much better than Shearer, Jug Ears, Danny Mills, Crooks and a load of others.

Conte's post match interview was interesting, he couldn't really point out what they'd done wrong to start with.

I'll help him. He plays 3 donkey centre backs while we have no one up front for a start. The only creativity they have, we cut off.

No way Conte would get anything if he was managing us V Spurs. That said, We'd beat Norwich at home!
