Unless you're still thinking Corbyn is still labour leader what on earth is the relevance of Diane Abbott to this thread?

An attempt to point out the antiquated and completely unfit for purpose process by which cabinet ministers are deemed fit to govern areas they know **** all about, by virtue of being given their job by a leader. A leader who is themselves often not skilled or competent enough to delegate appropriately.

If you can't see that there is some absolute gash on the Labour side who will eventually step in and be equally as shit as the Tories, detritus specifically like Ms. Abbott, then you are partisan and frankly any further discussion would be a waste of both of our time.

Plans to ditch Boris Johnson as Tory leader and prime minister “sooner rather than later”, without waiting for a clear and obvious successor to emerge, are being advanced by a growing number of senior*Conservatives.

Amid mounting alarm at*the effects the Partygate scandal*could have on their electoral chances, high-ranking MPs are urging wavering colleagues not to dither because of worries about the succession, or Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but rather to strike before it is too late.

Imagine having 360 MP's to choose from, and not having anyone that they reckon is better than the disgraced bullshitter Johnson.

The idea of her being in the cabinet and allowed to, you know, have any sort of influence on anything would be scary, if it weren't for this absolute shower of cretins we have presently.

I'm still a little scared.

Let me reassure you.

If the proven lawyer is allowed into the tent for surfaces previously rendered, she will be made minister for daisies.

She will not, in contrast to thicko pisshed Dorries, be charged with selling off the BBC.

Time to stop wobbling your head. Grit your teeth and pray for election day. And the return of sensibility.

I have taken the step of complaining to IPSO about this. She doesn't wear clothes in the HoC like that, she wouldn't stoop to trying to distract him with her legs, and he is distracted all the time anyway because he doesn't do details.
It is harassment because she hasn't been to Oxford but comes from a working class background, misogyny because a woman MP is being objectified (sexy but no brains) and misleading because they have used a social photo not a work photo.

Thankfully many many people have called it out, including one or two Tories (women, of course) like Andrea Leadsom and Amber Rudd.

Imran Ahmad Khan, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, says he will resign as Wakefield MP - triggering a by-election

Unsurprisingly, he has gone back on his word. I think the judge should get on with sentencing him. Anything more than 12 months and he will lose his seat, in any case.

Why exactly do you describe Ms Abbott as detritus? Detritus means waste or rubbish. This is a person you are talking about not rubbish.
You may not agree with her being an MP or a minister but do not denigrate anyone by dehumanising them.

She isn't any part of Keir Starmer's shadow cabinet so why do you think she would be if he led the government?

Just to show I'm not bristling with righteous indignation all the time, I did chuckle at this.

I like the fact that whoever thought this was a good idea didn't seem to think there was an issue with portraying their leader as an unprofessional sex pest

Especially as there are currently 56 MPs (party alliances not stated) who are under investigation for sexual misconduct, at the moment.

'we can't change leader with the world in turmoil'.

'we need to keep the leader who's distracted by a female'.

Well done for doing this.
The direction this thread has turned is illustrative of what happens when a particular demographic (largely middle-aged or elderly men) discuss something and think it's OK to target someone else from a different demographic.

This is a very poor effort and low quality reply.

I've seen you and most of the people in this very thread call people similar or worse. Are you so offended because it's a woman, or because you are inferring there is a racist angle to this?

Would you be so up in arms if someone else called Boris Johnson "detritus"? Johnson is routinely called far worse on here. How many times have you called people out on this?

You've had an absolute nightmare there.

I'm not here to pass an English test, but I challenge to find one post of mine which is denigrating humans, male or female. Just one.

#5711, precisely six posts ago on this very page. That is without bothering to read through any more of your posts where I can imagine what the theme will be similar.

Your video mocking the PM both implies he has below average intelligence and is a sexual danger to women, with absolutely zero evidence of this fact.

I should point out once again I absolutely hate the current Tory regime and Johnson in particular, and yet I disagree so much with your incredibly narrow world view that I would go to bat for them.

I chuckled at a joke. That is not the same as denigrating or dehumanising him. I haven't compared him to any animal, or object.

Johnson is most definitely a sexual danger to women, three wives, multiple mistresses, including one forced to have an abortion, unkown children, and all well documented.

You are implying some or all of these were without consent? He raped people?

Imagine if Angela Rayner
had maybe 6, 7 or 8 children by different men, cavorted with a male pole dancer, left her husband when he was ill, shacked up with a chap 20 odd years younger and then had two more children? Now, there's a story.
