If you think that's excruciating, tune in to PMQs: comedy gold.
David Davis: Et Tu Brute!!!
Don't you worry - I wouldn't have missed this one! There's a pringles comedown due at about 3 o'clock!
Trouble is, amid all the gags, bellows and boos and knockabout pantomime, he gets away with not having to actually answer anything.
Cruise missile from somebody so philosophically aligned with the PM.
Was that the speaker saying "WHAT a day!" under his breath while some of the MPs filed out?

Sir Tim Loughton sends a letter, Tory MP crosses the floor, David Davies sticks the knife in.
Not Johnson’s best day , is it.

to be fair he's just a backstabber, he's cut from the same cloth, self serving and epically incompetent as proven when he was Brexit secretary, see how quickly they all turn on him when before they alll brown nosed him and repeated his ridiculous BS
they all need to go
Geoffrey Howe moment?
Not sure I agree on this. You don't have to agree with someone or indeed find them likeable to understand that they are principled.
Every day that Johnson delays now gives him less and less control over the terms of his inevitable departure. He could have and maybe still can resign, take full responsibility and hope to have some future role in public life a la Michael Portillo. As it is the bully is heading for a very lonely place hounded out by an ever increasing pack hunting him down. His team in number 10 know his only hope of survival is to throw them under a bus and they know he is prepared to do it. Stay loyal or leak doesn't sound like a difficult choice in those circumstances.
